DGCA Exam Paper PDFs with Answers and Solutions

Download DGCA exam paper practice PDFs with separate answer keys and worked solutions from Prerna Aviation. Choose a paper, attempt all 25 questions, then use the matching solution file to review the method behind each answer.

This library contains 20 educational practice sets that cover air navigation, aviation meteorology, air regulations, human performance, and technical general knowledge. The files are designed for CPL theory revision; they are not authenticated official DGCA previous-year papers or complete examination-session reproductions.

Try DGCA Practice Questions with Explained Answers

These examples are taken from the uploaded Prerna Aviation practice papers. They show the level and explanation style used in the downloadable solution PDFs.

Air Navigation · Paper 01

An aircraft covers 156 NM in 1 hour 12 minutes. What is its average ground speed?

Answer: 130 kt

Convert 72 minutes to 1.2 hours, then divide 156 NM by 1.2 h. The result is 130 kt.

Meteorology · Paper 14

In a synthetic METAR, 31018KT means wind from:

Answer: 310° true at 18 kt

METAR wind direction is the direction from which the wind blows, referenced to true north; KT means knots.

Technical General · Paper 17

For a given wing, air density and lift coefficient, reducing speed to 80% of its original value changes lift to:

Answer: 64% of the original

With the other quantities fixed, lift varies with speed squared. 0.8² = 0.64.

Subject guide

Choose DGCA Practice Papers by Subject

If you are revising one subject, start with the sectional papers below before moving to the mixed revision sets. This makes it easier to see whether a wrong answer came from the concept, the calculation, recall, or reading the question too quickly.

NAV

Air Navigation Practice Papers

Papers 01, 02, 11, 12 and 19 focus on navigation calculations, route planning, radio navigation/instruments, mass and balance and performance. Mixed Papers 09-10 also include Navigation questions.

MET

Aviation Meteorology Practice Papers

Papers 03, 04, 13 and 14 cover atmospheric processes, stability, clouds, winds, METAR/TAF interpretation and flight hazards. Mixed Papers 09-10 add weather revision questions.

REG

Air Regulations Practice Papers

Papers 05, 06, 15 and 16 cover rules/information, radiotelephony and selected human-performance topics. They are practice resources, not substitutes for current DGCA and AAI publications.

TECH

Technical General Practice Papers

Papers 07, 08, 17, 18 and 20 cover principles of flight, controls, engines/propellers, aircraft systems and instruments. Mixed Papers 09-10 include additional Technical General revision.

Paper authenticity

Practice Papers, Memory-Based Questions and Official DGCA Papers

The 20 downloads on this page are Prerna Aviation educational practice papers. They are neither official DGCA previous-year papers nor presented as recalled examination-session papers. That distinction matters because students should know whether they are practising original questions or reviewing material that claims to come from a real sitting.

A memory-based reconstruction should be labelled as such and should explain its source and limitations. An official paper should only be called official when its provenance can be verified. For this library, use the practice papers to test your method and identify weak topics rather than to predict the exact wording or composition of a future DGCA examination.

Original practice set

Written for learning and revision. Papers 01-10 use this label.

Sectional practice

Papers 11-20 were reviewed in 2026 and are labelled sectional practice, not exact latest-pattern mocks.

Official / recalled

Not included in this 20-paper upload. Do not relabel these practice PDFs as official PYQs or verified recalled papers.

Current requirements

Check the Current DGCA Syllabus and Exam Instructions

The practice files deliberately avoid claiming a complete current subject-by-subject question count or duration table. Before an examination, use DGCA PARIKSHA for the current syllabus pointer, examination notices, and candidate instructions. For Indian regulatory and aeronautical-information questions, current DGCA/AAI publications should take priority over general training references.

Revision workflow

How to Practise and Review Your Answers

A practice paper is most useful when it changes what you revise next. Do not stop at the score; use the solutions to identify why marks were lost.

Step 1

Attempt the question PDF

Work through the 25 questions without opening the solution file. Use the assumptions stated in the paper.

Step 2

Check every answer

Use the matching solutions PDF, including the explanation when you were correct by guesswork.

Step 3

Classify the mistake

Mark it as a concept gap, calculation error, recall problem or rushed reading. Different errors need different fixes.

Step 4

Revise the exact weak topic

Return to the relevant notes, manual or official publication instead of rereading the entire subject.

Step 5

Retest with a fresh set

Use another paper covering the same subject. Improvement on remembered questions is not the same as fixing the topic.

FAQ

DGCA Exam Paper FAQs

Use the download section on this page. Each of the 20 papers has a separate Question PDF and matching Explained Solutions PDF.

No. The uploaded library consists of Prerna Aviation educational practice sets. The files explicitly state that they are not official DGCA papers or verified full-length latest-pattern mocks.

It is a rewritten study resource based on reported or recalled questions rather than an authenticated official paper. This 20-paper upload is not labelled as memory-based or recalled.

Yes. Every paper has its own solution file with an answer key and explanations. Numerical and conceptual questions include working or reasoning where relevant.

They are 25-question practice sets. The suggested 40-minute timing and scoring rules are editorial practice settings, not a claim about the current official DGCA examination pattern.

They support CPL/flight-crew theory practice in selected Navigation, Meteorology, Regulations/Human Performance and Technical General areas. They are not CAR-66 AME module papers.

Use the official DGCA PARIKSHA portal and current notices. Requirements can change, so official sources should be checked before relying on a training resource.
